Sophia is a pilot and former Chief Flight Instructor at the Edmonton Flying Club, where she served from 2012–2023. She holds an Airline Transport Pilot Licence, is a Class 1 Flight Instructor, and serves as a Transport Canada Pilot Examiner. She continues to instruct Multi-IFR and Instructor Rating candidates and flies the Citation 560 and Navajo for Morgan Construction.
A lifelong aviation enthusiast, Sophia shares her passion through Elevate Aviation, where she inspires and mentors those entering the industry. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Alberta Aviation, Aerospace & Defence Council and chairs the Alberta Flight School Committee. She has also previously served on the board of the Alberta Aviation Museum.
Sophia joined the Level Flight team in 2025 and looks forward to developing additional courses, particularly for flight instructors.
