Peter Vlahos

Peter immigrated to Canada from the UK in 2020. As a kid, he lived underneath the busy flight path at Manchester International Airport, and just before he came to Canada, he spent nine years living in London, living underneath busy airspace on a whole other level. Over those years, the seed was planted, and his passion and curiosity grew so big that if there was one thing he knew, he had to learn to fly. His curious eyes have always been skyward, but until recently, the realization of his dream to fly was too expensive. He spent many years working in administrative jobs, spending a lot of his spare time researching what it took to become a pilot, hanging out at viewing areas at airports, and watching countless videos online of all things aviation.

In 2023, after dreaming for nearly 30 years, thankfully, everything aligned, and he finally took the plunge. He connected with Level Flight and took their PPL online ground school. While working on his course, Peter had an opportunity to help on a few projects where his attention to detail and quality of work earned him a permanent spot on the team as a Course Designer and Editor, allowing him to put his skills to work in the industry he loves. At the same time, he continues to earn his licenses and ratings to achieve the ultimate goal of becoming a commercial pilot.
